What is the Holy Communion? And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, this is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you (Luke:22:19-
Jesus blessed the bread and broke it, saying this is my flesh (body) and it became his flesh. Then Jesus blessed wine, served it and said this is my blood at it became his blood. In this very manner the Holy Communion is prepared: that we bless bread and wine, then it becomes the body and blood of Christ.
This Passover night incidence was the prelude of Jesus’ journey onto the cross. This was the very event where Jesus laid down the efficacy of the New Testament. The very grace and redemption that we enjoy today started at this event of that Passover night. Jesus was crucified by daylight and everyone who partake of His flesh and blood by the reason of the communion spiritually died by Him. On the third day, He rose from death; so everyone who partake of His flesh and blood by the reason of the communion has risen with Him.
It was written that the disciples of Jesus went to his tomb, seeking for His body but could not find Him for He has risen in to glory. In a similar manner, as you partake of the Holy Communion, people will go seeking for you at the dungeon, ghetto or shanks where they last saw you, but they will not find you there, for God’s grace has settled you into a new and befitting home. It was written that when the disciples finally saw Jesus, they could not recognize Him because He was full of glory and they were expecting to see the beaten, battered and wounded sick body. As you continue to partake of the Holy Communion, people will see you and no longer recognize you because you will full of glory in blessings and divine health; as your tattered clothing is replaced by garments of honour and your sicknesses and diseases like cancer and HIV are healed and terminated.
The Holy Communion Service is a special service that comes up every 1st Sundays of the month. Be there.
