Under tree church

Missionary (Pastor) Jeoung is the Founder & Leader of Under Tree Church. He graduated from the Bible College in South Korea and volunteered to go on Gospel Mission, making Africa as his region of choice.

With a passion for the very less privileged, Pastor Jeoung together with his beautiful and very supportive wife have travelled wide around on missionary duties. They are currently based in Pretoria, South Africa, from where they reach out to other part of the country and the entire SADC regions. Pastor Jeoung together with wife are blessed with two pretty daughters.

I (Tay Martins) met with Pastor Jeoung in 2013 and together we have done exceedingly great and well. I will say that i have been privilege to serve under this ministry.

Under Tree Church have recorded over 100 members attendance at a service depending on the weather,

ceremonial programs and seasons. Service starts by 9:30 am for a stretch of 45 mins - 1 hour, with Praise Worship from the Praise booklet. After this is the opening prayer, then testimonies are shared. Sermon takes about 15 mins, then is the offering (teaching them to appreciate God) together with praise song. Service is brought to an end by benediction, then it is time for food.

Basically we serve a loaf of bread each; sometimes it is two each, depending on the attendance. Bread is served with hot tea (during winter) or juice (at summer). Then boiled eggs for protein and fruits (orange, banana or apple) for vitamins.

We try to make festive period (Christmas and Easter) special by organizing brais (barbeque) and inviting other missionaries and musical groups from Brazil, Canada, USA, South Korea, who sometimes come with gifts and clothing. We also invite medical practitioners to examine and treat them of various ailments.
