Few years ago, while I was serving as a church worker at Love Assembly Ministries, our church invited Preacher Andrew Strom all the way from USA for a five days Religious Crusade. After the event, Andrew Strom called a Pastors’ Forum, which I attended. I assume that his purpose was to enlighten us upon certain Christian’s perception about the beliefs of African. With very genuine motives, Andrew was trying to downplay our common concept of the word “enemy” that we usually refer to as the witches & wizards.
As much as I would love to disregards this common concept that has become a menace, I could not help but testify to the vivid realities and daily manifestations of these evil powers in Africa. From where I sat at the rear, I watch the senior pastors in front. Haven agreed with Andrew on many things except the issues of witches & wizards, they tried to convince their foreign guest about the undeniable realities of the concept. Andrew couldn’t just comprehend why and how the beliefs about this concept of witchcraft has grown deeply rooted in the hearts and minds of Africans.
I wish I could live in a society where witches & wizards are highly disregarded. The truth is that the case in Africa is highly peculiar; unlike what we have in the western world. Be aware that only one factor is responsible this. It is called Fear. But if we have Grace, shouldn’t Fear be conquered?

Or someone suddenly called you out of your sleep by your name? Do you run in your dream, all to wake up and find yourself sweating? Do you cry in your dream, all to wake up and find yourself shedding tears? Are you waking up twice from the same dream?
